GUATEMALA ARTISAN COMPLEX TEXTILE RUNNER CHICHICASTENANGO 64” 163 cm
We purchased this artisan hand-made textile runner in the Chichicastenango village market in southwestern Guatemala in 2012.
The size is 64 inches (163 cm) x 12.5” (32 cm) and the condition is perfect with no stains or other damage.
Someone with more knowledge of textiles will understand the process by which this complex textile was made, but it appears to involve embroidery over a hand-woven base.
This textile is one-sided with an attractive hand-woven edging border around the textile.
I am not a dealer but rather an individual trying to reduce decades of accumulations from our house.
