The back has the traditional material that is used in the Guatemalan women's' skirts. It has pinks and yellows with a gold thread. The sham measures 18" by 18".

This is a pillow sham that was made from hand woven huipils from Guatemala. The sham is made of cotton.  It features bold colors in a geometric pattern . The back has the traditional material that is used in the Guatemalan women's skirts. It has pinks and yellows with a gold thread.
The sham measures 18" by 18".
Each village uses a different color pallet
and design in their weaving.  Many of the women are now organized in cooperatives are are self sustaining with their hand weaving.  Designs and techniques are passed down through generations
