Up for sale is a very nice original unused vintage 1915 or so box label for J. B. L. National Formulae Stock Food, A Powerful, Specific, Regulator For Horses, Cattle, Hogs, And Sheep Manufactured By Dr. J.B. Lynas & Son, Factory & Laboratories in Logansport, Indiana. The date of this is probably before 1920 because it says it is guaranteed by the Pure Food & Drug Act of 1906, and by 1920 most of that had been dropped from labels. Dr. Lynas was an early pioneer in the home shopping network similar to Rawleigh, Watkins, and Jewel, beginning before 1900 and spanning into the early 1960's, with representatives all over the country selling home products door to door. The size is 19 3/4" x 13"and it is in excellent condition. This is a lovely label,and would be a great addition to a veterinary collection, framed and put on a wall, or even wrapped around a made up box for display. Since I live out in the country,I ship 2-3 times a week,the nearest post office being a 20-30 minute drive.Please allow up to 3 business days after payment is made for item to be shipped.
