LARGE GUATEMALAN JADEITE JADE MAYAN CARVING
Here is amazing carving made from our "Manzana" or Apple green jade. It was made at our shop in Copan Ruinas, Honduras, by a descendant of the Chor'ti Maya. It depicts a large Mayan warrior face with a huge depiction of the Plumed Serpent Quetzalcoatl above it. It's really eye catching to me because of how the serpent and other Mayan face flare out to the side so much. It doesn't look like it would stand on its own, but it's really solid and weighted perfectly. The back of the piece was left rough so you can see the natural texture of the jade. This piece is going to sit with me at my desk until you decide to get it. It will make an amazing addition to your collection!
