This is a vintage can of horse medicine. The top and bottom are made of TIN, but the center cylinder section seems to be cardboard, with a paper label. The canister is unopened and still FULL of the original contents. (Sold as a vintage collectible - NOT FOR ACTUAL USE!) The can reads: "APPLE FLAVORED HORSE WORMER...Controls: BLOOD WORMS - ROUNDWORMS - PINWORMS...Prepared by O.M. FRANKLIN SERUM CO...DENVER COLORADO U.S.A." This small can measures 4 & 1/4 inches tall, and is 1 & 1/2 inches wide. It contains a single dose - "Enough To Treat 250-300 Lbs Of Horse." The "O.M. Franklin Serum Co.," founded by veterinarian, Dr. Oliver Morris Franklin, changed it's name to "Franklin Laboratories" in 1963. This item is not dated, but was clearly made PRIOR to 1963. The condition is NEAR MINT - virtually like new, even though it is guaranteed to be over 50 years old, or your money back.
