Vintage Guatemalan Weaved Artwork On Canvas 22” X 26”. Condition is Used.
This piece is beautiful! Will ship in a larger box. Piece itself isn’t heavy. It is 3 D in that certain parts are raised and not flat weaves on the canvas. The women’s hair, basket contents. The details of the Guatemalan symbols in the women’s shirt is just beautiful. This piece is well over 40 years old. The entire background is stitched on the canvas.
Note that the canvas does show dirt and wear along edges. Photographed them as best I could. And the wood frame has the name Fredric stamped on the back. I think that is the wood/canvas manufacturer.
